Munich – Thursday, 16 July 2020: Climedo has received the award “Heroes in the Crisis” for its outstanding commitment to the Corona crisis. With this award, the F.A.Z., Hansgrohe, Beekeeper, Signal Iduna and the dpa subsidiary news aktuell would like to thank Climedo for the extraordinary help it provided during the pandemic.
Climedo is one of around 1,000 “heroes in the crisis”. This number is representative of many others and shows that the social commitment during the Corona crisis in Germany was truly remarkable. In March 2020, the Munich-based start-up announced that it would offer its platform for clinical data collection free of charge for certain COVID-19-related projects.
With the “Heroes in the Crisis” award, F.A.Z., Hansgrohe, Beekeeper, Signal Iduna and dpa-news aktuell would like to express their direct and personal thanks to each and every one of them who has excelled in pandemic management. The list of “heroes in the crisis” was published in a special supplement of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
Awards are given for very different activities – from the production of large quantities of disinfectants for hospitals to special care services for the elderly and the establishment of internet platforms through which neighbourhood help was organised. Around 350 million sources on the Internet were examined for the study.
